With nearly 20 years experience in promoting equitable and inclusive learning practices in educational settings, Damon has committed himself to a deep contemporary understanding of language, knowledge, and learning. This pursuit has impressed upon him an appreciation that we can advance organizational design in ways that reduce psychological stress, strengthen interpersonal connections, and accommodate for cognitive diversity, all while improving overall organizational health and performance. His research has led him to focus on the emotional, social, and subconscious elements that underlie communication and the coordination of all shared knowledge and culture.
Damon is a multicultural community builder and is committed to cultural and cognitive diversity, to improving equitable outcomes in education and to collaboration. He graduated from Pacific University with a Degree in Economics and is currently pursuing his Masters of Teaching. Damon taught teachers at the undergraduate level for over eight years, and serves the Hillsboro School District as the Educational Liaison, helping culturally diverse, low-income youth, and youth with barriers to employment, transition to successful careers.
