Hope is a natural leader, entrepreneur, and an excellent problem solver, leveraging her exceptional empathy and logic to guide her path. Her success has been driven by her ability to develop a plan of action and see it through to fruition.

Hope earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington and worked as an engineer with Exxon Chemical in Houston & L.A. In 1999, she moved to Portland to start a generator and service company, which she and her husband successfully led using a healthy workplace approach until its sale in 2020. In 2007 she opened Urban Decanter, a wine bar and bottle shop, which she sold in 2012. It remains a cornerstone of the Forest Grove downtown community today.

For 15 years, Hope has served as a member of several city boards and commissions, and she recently stepped into a primary role at the Chamber of Commerce in their time of need. In 2022 she started a non-profit organization to help homeless individuals in the Forest Grove Area,

Hope’s experience starting and leading businesses and non-profits, and working closely with government-type agencies, gives her a well-rounded understanding of their needs, challenges, and potential.
