Richard (Dick) Stenson retired in 2014 after 22 years as President/CEO of Tuality Healthcare. He came to Oregon after 17 years as Associate, then Executive Administrator of Straub Clinic & Hospital and the Straub Health Plan in Honolulu, and held earlier administrative positions at Harkness Community Hospital and Upjohn Medical Group in California, as well as Ochsner Clinic & Hospital in New Orleans.

He has a B.S. in Business from the University of California, Berkeley, an MHA from Tulane and an MBA from Loyola. He is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American College of Medical Practice Executives.

Dick has served on many community boards and presently with the Tuality Healthcare Foundation, Native American Rehab Association NW, Hillsboro Community Foundation, Pacific University Berglund Center for Innovation, and Oregon Health Science University Institutional Review Board

His management philosophy is that if you take care of your people, your people will take care of your customers and your organization will thrive.

Dick’s favorite pastimes are anything with his grandchildren, traveling with his wife, Doreen, playing upright bass or euphonium with groups, and motorcycle touring with friends.
